CSUDH Esports Valorant Team Scores Big Upset in First-Ever New England Collegiate Conference Tourney

The conference’s championship action on Friday culminated with two California schools doing battle in the NECC’s Valorant title game. In front of the largest Twitch audience all season long, Cal State – Dominguez Hills upset top-seeded Sacramento State in another classic that went the distance (five games). Ruben Caputo, the Esports General Manager at CSU-DH had this to say following the Toros win, “thank you for the amazing experience that the NECC team has produced in the collegiate space. I’m very proud our team responding to the challenge and being able to get opportunities like this to do so.”
